Today I cleaned up my house and I cleaned up my university course. I also noticed a gap (related to cover letters) and found something to fill it. Tomorrow, I will need to scan a few pages of another text and add a reading.
Brief soapbox: Knowing how to write a strong cover letter is important, even if the current version of the text I assign my technical writing students argues that they are passé. I have had to write one for every one of my last several jobs, so it would take some convincing to get me to drop them from the curriculum.
Also, the following companies should consider me for future endorsements: Rejuvenate floor sealant, Magic Eraser, and Meyer’s cleaning stuff. I don’t love the process of cleaning, unless I have company (and then I kind of do love it), but I really love the product.
