My employer is being audited by a regulatory body and I am a regulatory affairs analyst. So my day started earlier than usual. As a result, I didn’t get my crunches in but I did get a walk later. I also cooked a shit ton of very healthy food, to make tomorrow a bit easier.

I also learned that Flash Nonfiction Funny is coming out in a week. I’m in it! I will have my eyes on the mailbox.

So, for next month… I’m trying to hit the discussion groups regularly (though that has trailed off a bit lately, for reasons I won’t discuss in a public space, even one no one is looking at), I have made movement a regular part of my day, and now for March, I want to get back in the practice of meditating. I started sitting with zen teachers while I was at Colgate. It was a weekly event, scheduled to fit my own for the first semester, that I didn’t make every week, but those that I did I enjoyed. Since then, I’ve tried to use apps, but that seems counter intuitive. I have a space set up for it and have put together some reading for the month, to guide what I’m doing. For the first two weeks of March, I will sit for 15 minutes a day. For the second two weeks, I’ll try for 20.
